Inspector Roy Wade - Hampshire constabulary: The Beginners Polish Course is an excellent foundation for learning the language. The pace was just right and the structure enabled us to build on the previous day's work. By the end of the week we were able to converse, read and write basic Polish, which was incredible given that we had only received 25 hrs tuition. As a Police Officer, I am coming into contact with Polish Nationals more and more. The training given by Beata will enable me to engage with the Polish community and I would wholeheartedly recommend this course to any Police Officer or public servant that has Polish Nationals in their area.

Elizabeth Baird - civil servant, Edinburgh: This was a well structured, imaginative course in an informal, encouraging atmosphere. The blend of tuition and opportunities to visit the surrounding area was just right and there is so much of interest to see nearby.

Olga Wojtas - journalist, Edinburgh: Beata makes learning languages seem almost easy! She is a friendly and expert teacher who knows how to pace the classes and take account of individual students' interests. There is plenty of time to explore Seahouses and the surrounding area - and the accommodation and breakfasts are fantastic.

Alistair Noble - judge, Edinburgh: The Seahouses courses are an excellent and very pleasant way to learn Polish.

Mark Zygadlo - writer: Beata has my unreserved recommendation as a Polish teacher. The first time I went to Poland on my own was before I began attending Beata's class. I found it difficult, to say the least, to get around without help and impossible to get much more out of the trip than a very touristic view. The next visit, after only a couple of beginners courses, was an entirely different experience. The confidence I felt in being able to speak to people opened up the country, the culture but most important, my own family to me. For that I will always be grateful. We got a very thorough grounding in the basic structure of the language and somehow the tutor managed to make it stick, even in an ageing brain like mine. I wish I had the opportunity to use Polish more than I do because, of course practice is essential. As for the course itself, perhaps the fact that I travelled from Galloway in Scotland to attend the courses shows how good I thought it was, and how much fun.

Adam Zajaczkowski: With Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands as a perfect backdrop, The Language Centre stands on the edge of the picturesque east coast of Northumberland. The course was a refreshing yet intensive weekend of Polish grammar, speach and reading. Beata's enthusiasm and dedication brought Polish to a level where learning became enjoyable, relaxed and informal where at the same time my knowledge of the language was being improved. The weekend passed all too quickly but I left with a sense of fulfilment.

Heather Fry - retired: Beata's courses are stimulating, challenging and encouraging, well prepared, structured yet flexible. There is an interesting variety of balancing the study of grammar with use of different media (video, audio, magazines etc.) involving and sharing of knowledge of Poland, its customs, geography, cuisine etc. with students' own experiences. During the courses I found Beata sensitive to individual students' needs and areas where help and encouragement were required. The group worked together, sometimes divided into small teams, encouraging each other and creating a good atmosphere of support and sometimes competition. All of this made learning Polish a pleasure and something to look forward to sharing.
